Spacious and full of character, Dar Drouj welcomes up to 10 guests in five beautifully appointed bedrooms. Just beyond the Medina walls, this historic house blends tradition with creativity, its mosaic tiles, carved cedar, and peaceful courtyard fountain offering both calm and inspiration - an ideal base for cultural immersion and artistic retreats in Fez.
What You Bring
It all begins with you - your practice, your story, and the way you want to share it. Your creative direction will guide everything from the retreat’s theme to the daily rhythm, shaping an experience that is uniquely yours.
Your Community
Your community is your greatest asset, and your retreat is an opportunity to bring them closer. By inviting loyal fans and followers, collectors, and like- minded peers, you’ll create a gathering of people who are excited to learn from you and be part of your creative world.
You can host:
- Solo (6–8 guests ideal but the dar can accommodate up to 10 comfortably)
- With a co-leader (split income and responsibilities)
- As part of a larger group residency or retreat that includes accommodation elsewhere in the Medina
Your Promotion
No one can tell your story better than you. Through your own platforms and voice, you’ll share the vision of your retreat, inspire people to join you in Fez, and set the tone for the journey they’ll take alongside you.
You’re responsible for:
- Promoting your retreat via your platform
- Sharing visuals, stories, and your Fez connection Managing participant interest & communication
We’ll provide:

Options for Income
We offer several flexible models to ensure your retreat is not only inspiring but financially rewarding
Whether you prefer the independence of paying a flat fee and keeping all participant income, the shared security of a revenue split, or a customised arrangement for unique collaborations, we’ll work with you to find the structure that best supports your goals.
Our aim is to make hosting in Fez both creatively fulfilling and financially sustainable, so you can focus on delivering an unforgettable experience.

Flat Fee Model
You pay a flat fee to cover retreat costs (accommodation, logistics). You keep 100% of participant income.
Example:
Retreat costs: €2,000
You charge 6 participants €800 = €4,800
Your earnings: €2,800
Best for: Experienced retreat leaders with confident audience outreach. -
Revenue Share Model
We split participant income after basic costs. We both share risk and reward.
Example:
Participant fee: €900 x 6 = €5,400 Base costs: €2,000
Profit split: 70% to you, 30% to us Your earnings: €2,380
Best for: Newer retreat leaders or those wanting less upfront risk. -
Custom Model
For hybrid setups, residencies, or co-branded retreats, we’ll create a model that works for you and your objectives.
Partner with another artist or organisation to co-host a retreat, strengthen relationships with your supporters, and build lasting connections in Fez.
