Lucie Blaze is an interdisciplinary artist and facilitator whose work explores the relationship between creativity, the body, and the unconscious.

As the founder of the cultural platform Born to Create, Lucie draws on her background in Art Therapy and Psychosynthesis to create supportive, embodied spaces where movement, imagination, and intuitive art-making become tools for self-discovery, connection, and authentic creative expression. By weaving together somatic awareness and expressive art-making, she facilitates spaces that support authentic creative experiences. Portait: by Sharlene Ferguson
Retreat Overview
What the Week Looks Like
During this retreat, participants explore creativity as an embodied and relational practice through guided sessions, sensory exploration, and creative inquiry. Using place, objects, and materials as starting points, we work with drawing, collage, and reflective writing to explore perception, memory, and inner experience.
A typical day might include:
  • Morning grounding and sensory awareness practice
  • Guided creative exploration through drawing or collage
  • Walking the Medina to observe, collect objects, and engage with place
  • Small-group reflection and dialogue
  • Shared meals and informal conversation
What Makes this Week so Special

This is not an escape; it is a return to your center.

While most trips focus on seeing the world, we focus on how you inhabit it. Through a blend of art-making, movement, and quiet reflection, you will dive into your own internal process while immersed in the textures of Fez.

Embodied Creative Practice

Each day includes guided creative sessions exploring somatic awareness and expressive art-making through drawing, collage, writing, movement, and local materials. Grounding and exploratory in approach, the retreat encourages a more honest, intuitive, way of creating.
Beyond the Sessions
OOutside the guided sessions, there is space to slow down and experience the rhythms of Fez. Wander the Medina, connect with local artisans, and join cultural excursions that deepen your relationship with the city, alongside time to rest, reflect, journal, and enjoy the shared experience of the group.

A Place to Call Home

You’ll be staying at Dar Drouj, a beautifully restored 14th-century home in the Medina. With quiet corners, a sunlit atrium, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the city, the house offers comfort, calm, and space to create. It’s the kind of place where conversations flow, meals are shared, and inspiration is always close by.
